Ted Chamberlain coaching a barbershop quartet in his Lacey, WA studio

Master Your Voice Saturday is a one-day voice coaching event at Ted Chamberlain's studio in Lacey, Washington, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Singers book either an individual session (in 20-minute increments) or a small-group/quartet block (up to four people, in 1-hour or 2-hour blocks). Sessions run back-to-back through the day and are billed at Ted's standard coaching rate, prorated by length. Sessions run in three blocks across the day (8am–12pm, 1–4pm, and 5–9pm). The date sits just before the Evergreen District barbershop contest in early October, making it a natural moment to get contest-ready — and it is open to any singer, in any style.

A day built around your voice

Master Your Voice Saturday is one full day set aside for personal coaching. Sessions run back-to-back from morning through the afternoon, and each one is yours alone — just you (or your quartet) and me, working on exactly what your voice needs that day.

In a private session you have my complete attention for your whole slot. We find the one or two changes that will make the biggest difference for you, practice them together, and send you home with clear, usable next steps.

The timing lines up with the Evergreen District barbershop contest in early October, so it is a natural moment to sharpen up and get contest-ready. Singers of every style are welcome — barbershop, choral, musical theater, or simply your own voice.

Two ways to book

Start by choosing how you want to work, then pick a length that fits. Both options run on my single studio calendar, so your time is held the moment you book.

Individual Sessions

20, 40, or 60 minutes

One-on-one time focused entirely on you. Bring a contest song, an audition piece, a passage that keeps tripping you up, or a question about your technique. Choose a longer session if you want to dig deeper.

  • Perfect for solo singers and section singers
  • Great for a focused tune-up or a specific challenge
  • Pick the length that fits your goal

Small Group & Quartet Blocks

1-hour or 2-hour blocks · up to 4 singers

Bring your quartet or a small section and work together as an ensemble. We shape blend, tuning, unity, and expression — and I give each singer things to carry back into rehearsal. Blocks are a flat rate, not priced per person.

  • Ideal for quartets and small sections (up to 4)
  • Choose a one-hour or two-hour block
  • One flat rate for the whole group

Exact slot options are shown in the booking system, where you can see what is still available and reserve it in a couple of clicks.

Who it's for

  • Quartets and singers prepping for contest — sharpen your sound in the weeks before the Evergreen District competition.
  • Chorus and section singers — get a personal tune-up that lifts your whole section.
  • Any singer wanting focused time — barbershop or otherwise, beginner or seasoned, this day is for you.

Simple, familiar pricing

You pay my everyday coaching rate, prorated by the length you book — the same rate my regular students pay, with no event add-on. Group blocks are one flat rate for up to four singers.

Individual Sessions

  • 20 minutes$30
  • 40 minutes$55
  • 60 minutes$80

Small Group / Quartet up to 4 people

  • 1 hour$80
  • 2 hours$160

You will confirm your slot and pay securely through the booking system.
