Ted's Voice Note
"Recently I was working with a client — a long-time singer and performer — who was coming home from chorus rehearsals genuinely fatigued. We started looking at what was actually happening with her breath during singing, and pretty quickly we found it: she had internalized 'breath support' as something that should be constant and effortful. When we shifted her attention from 'apply support' to 'feel the balance,' something released. The following week she came back and said the strain after rehearsal was simply gone."

I'm Ted Chamberlain. I've spent 40 years studying how voices work — teaching singers, coaching speakers, and directing ensembles. I created the Adaptive Voice Framework and the PASS Profile because I believe everyone deserves to understand their own voice.
This newsletter is how I share what I'm learning, teaching, and thinking about — one issue per month, no fluff, no sales pitches. Just the good stuff.
